Game plan

Champion is the game's unlockable secret character and its final boss, and he breaks the core rule of the game: he fights alone. Instead of summoning allies, his Tag button performs unique actions of his own. He is a slow, big-body powerhouse with enormous normals, and meeting certain conditions mid-match transforms him from his Primordial Form into the empowered Awakened Form for the rest of the fight. A 4v4 game where you bring one fighter, on purpose.

Team synergy

None, by design: Champion replaces the entire team. Picking him is the synergy decision.

Tryco Slatterus, Champion of the Universe, an Elder who spent eternity mastering a single art: combat. His fists shatter stars, and he believes the greatest battle is life itself.

The Champion is the primary antagonist and final boss of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. A recent post from the Marvel Tōkon official account hinted at surprises still to come at launch, and earlier leaks suggest The Champion may be joining the roster as a playable character. If true, he would be the 21st character in the game. However, no gameplay, moves, or official confirmation has been shared yet, so treat this as speculation for now. About The Champion

The Champion of the Universe, real name Tryco Slatterus, is one of the Elders of the Universe in Marvel Comics, a group of ancient beings who have each dedicated their immortal lives to mastering a single pursuit. In his case, that pursuit is combat. He has challenged some of the strongest beings in the universe to fights and has set his sights on Earth in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, serving as the game's primary antagonist and final boss.

Earlier leaks suggested he could be a playable character, and the official Marvel Tōkon account recently posted that they still have a few surprises in store ahead of launch. If the leaks are accurate, The Champion would slot in as the 21st character on the roster, separate from the Year 1 DLC lineup that starts with Phoenix Cyclops. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, so we will update this section the moment more information is revealed.
